Abstract

Leadership is a person's ability to influence someone to influence others so that the person
does what he is told. In addition to the ability to lead a strategy or other method is needed such as
providing compensation so that every work can be carried out as quickly as possible with good and
correct results or increased employee morale in an institution or agency at Tanjung UPTD-PPDRD
(SAMSAT) North Lombok Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of
leadership and compensation partially and simultaneously on employee morale at the UPTD-PPDRD
(SAMSAT) Tanjung North Lombok Regency. This research is an associative study, using the
technique of data collection, namely questionnaire. The total population is 28. Even though the
analysis of the data used is validity and reliability testing, classic assumption tests include: normality
test, Heteroscedasticity test, multicollinearity test, multiple linear regression analysis, t test and f test
and coefficient of determination. The results of this study indicate that leadership and compensation
have a partially significant effect on employee morale at Tanjung UPTD-PPDRB (SAMSAT) North
Lombok Regency with a value of 0.022 < 0.05 with a t value of 2.444 > t table 2.05954 and 0.025 <
0.05 with a t value 2,393 > t table 2.05954. while Leadership and compensation have a significant
effect simultaneously on employee morale at Tanjung UPTD-PPDRB (SAMSAT) in North Lombok
Regency by 0.09 < 0.05 and calculated F value of 5.754 > F table 3.37 with an influence level of
31.5%.
